Cierra's Playground
Cierra King is a multidisciplinary artist and creative technologist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work is inspired by postmodernism, counterculture, and her own cultural experiences, often exploring the relationship between technology, identity, and storytelling.
Trained in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design, Cierra works across code, projection mapping, and interactive media to create visual and experiential pieces that merge artistic expression with technical systems. Her practice spans software development, creative coding, and immersive installation, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies can be used as tools for cultural expression and experimentation.
Alongside her artistic practice, Cierra works as a software developer and educator. She has experience building full stack applications and designing technical systems, and she enjoys helping others explore creative uses of technology through curriculum development and instruction. Whether through software, installations, or teaching, her work centers on using technology as a medium for curiosity, play, and meaningful interaction.
